Description
Revenge was the motivation behind it all. She framed them for treason. Forced them to go on the run. Forced them to fight their former allies. All to for the sake of vengence.The criminal mastermind known as the Dark Spectre had successfully ended their professional careers. Ruined their hard fought reputations. Made two once respected and admired women, the top in their fields, into hated and despised pariahs.
Now, helplessly bound before her, she was going to literally end the lives of Roberta Strock and Melissa Kross. The Dark Spectre felt a little disappointed at what should have been a glorious moment. She believed Strock and Kross would face their coming death unflinchingly. But instead their heads were bowed. Their eyes closed. Instead of the courage of lions they were facing death with the meekness of lambs.
But, unknown to the Spectre, this pair of lambs had a sheepdog to protect them. A very BIG sheepdog. They were merely bracing themselves. Ready to move the instant they heard the glass shatter.
Productions bring you a large scale rescue operation featuring AC's Roberta Strock and Tara Fremont and Dave-Dreamer's own Missey Kross and Dark Spectre.

The truth comes out
I must confess I was thinking in a different direction
( I am trying to post but I am feeling really under the weather )
But seeing this GREAT Image has given me a boost
The Dark Spectre must have a LOT of allies and resources and contacts to pull off this operation
She also must have a world class " hate on" for the two valiant heroines to have gone to this much trouble
I suspect she let the pair " run free" for a little while ( a few days) so the full extent of their disgrace and down fall could hit home She wanted them to experience the confusion and despair of having their world tuned upside down like this and having every thing taken away from them
I suspect Roberta and Missey would have contacted family members ( Roberta's father ) and( former) friends and allies , trying to explain it was frame up only to denounced and rejected That wold have REALLY hurt
Then when the villianess thought her targets were at rock bottom she "brought them in " I wonder if she did the deed herself
( captured and dis armed them them tied them up and gagged them and transported them to their final resting place- the dingy upper floor of an abandoned anonymous ware house - for both valiant women to be taken a single for would be on more humiliation for brave busty pair
I suspect that - in the best super villainess tradition - the Dark Specter would mockingly explain how she conceived and carried out her plan I do note that Roberta and Missey are surreptitiously looking towards the window
Like they expected Tara to be there ?
Maybe Dark Specter 's plan wasn't so brilliant after all
I do note Roberta's new out fit ( a mirror image of Missey's , only in military green )
I suspect your O C has a very extensive wardrobe

Well, as you recall, this isn't Roberta and Missey's first encounter with the Dark Spectre. ("Agents Uncovered" being the first time. And thus the reason for DS's hatred of our women.)
And while the Spectre is a mastermind and maybe could pull off such a grand scheme on her own. It is also possible she was hired by someone who also had a grudge against the our girls. (Another super villain, an ambitious and crooked government official or politician, that sort of thing. ) Someone with the resources the Spectre needed to pull off her plan. And any chance to ruin the her hated enemies the Spectre would naturally jump at the chance. Because she DOES have a world class hatred for the pair that brought her down all those years ago. She's motivated by revenge. The paycheck is just a bonus. (If she's employed by another enemy of the American and British agents.)
I suspect the Dark Spectre's henchmen had a helping hand in the capture of Roberta and Missey.
They weren't expecting Tara in my mind. But she is there and Roberta knows Tara is as noble as they come. She won't stand by and let cold blooded murder take place. (And Tara knows by now, if not all along, that Strock and Kross weren't traitors. FEMFORCE being what they are finally discovered the truth. No doubt the whole involved team was searching for the victims in order to help them. But Tara found them first.)
And yes, Roberta borrowed one of Missey's outfits.

I should have done more research
I do like the the idea of the Dark Specter working for some one to bring down the ladies
I see Roberta sense of honor and honesty and patriotism would get in way of the schemes of various corrupt elements in the gov't military and corporate world They would want her and Missey out of way , in such a way that they could never come back
I am thinking the team smells a set up and though they fallow orders to bring Our ladies in , they are just going through the motions and are actually running interference for the fugitives
And trying to safely bring them in
I suspect every one else has orders to " shoot to kill "

We are on the same page with this
But the team would be walking a tight rope -metaphorically speaking - they a have appear to fallowing orders to bring in Roberta and Missey - ( Tara calling the ladies traitors in the first entry ) even as they keep them of the way of the lethal hunters
