Thank you God.
So far the tour had, {knock on wood}, gone without a hitch.
Hitches including...
Criminals {super or otherwise}.
Terrorists {mutant or otherwise}.
Hate groups {mutant/anti-mutant}.
Invaders {alien or otherwise}.
Roaming man-monsters with anger issues and poor fashion sense.
Acts of God {gods, goddesses, demons}.
People who just CAN'T let things go. {In other words, out for revenge.}
Rescues.
Or super heroes who needed help with any of the above.
Nope. All of that has been avoiding me like poison this trip. The only time I had to light up at all was just for the sake of the performance. Or simply for personal convenience. A trend I hope to see continue.
Narcissistic as it sounds I look into the mirror once more and like what I see. I'm in the best physical shape I've ever been. Which helps me feel comfortable being seen in this particular stage costume. {Made up of my silver bikini top and what used to be a battle torn silver jumpsuit.} I decided to go with the hi-heels as the thigh-highs looked pretty scuffed.
The music starts to play. I hear the crowd cheer. Better get moving. As I leave the dressing room I grab my weapon of choice. Thor has his hammer. Cap his shield. The Dazzler has her microphone.
I wait to make my entrance. Waiting for the music to reach a certain point and thus my cue. Drinking in the sound I'm relishing it as it charges me. But not nearly as much as the joy of the audience charges me on a more emotional level.
A fan sees me waiting and waves. I smile and wave back.
Then the time comes. I hear my cue. I stride on stage as the audience goes wild. Once in position I take my weapon of choice and I hit 'em with both barrels. I start to do what I do best. What I love the most.
I give 'em a show.
