i didn't really know where to put this, but its of a band called Eliza Rose that i did some promo stuff for last month. lately i've been shooting a lot more on the roof of my apartment complex. i hope you like the submissions of these guys. they were a lot of fun to work with, and were DEFINITELY troopers, as i made the lead singer (Andy) stand directly under a rain gutter, just for fun. i just wanted to see how far he'd go for a shot in 40 degree F weather. i'm a punk. hehe.. anyway, let me know your thoughts.=daveainley

I thought it worked well, too. I'd like to expand on this idea someday. Maybe I could incorporate it into a bigger scene. It might be a fun concept to explore further.

I love the idea of turning them backward. The instruments are such apart of what the musician is and how they deffine themselves. Really amazing shot

wow. when i lived in wyoming, one night it dropped to -65 degrees F with the wind chill. wow. that was cold. and i was wearing a t shirt and warm ups. figure THAT one out.

ha ha yea it gets pretty cold and totally sucks cause it gets soooo cold and there's barely any snow then it all melts the next day. That really sucks. meh what can you do.

i like that they each have their "instrument". the lead singer with the microphone and so on. i also like the angle. it gives more to the photo than a simple straight on shot. i also like how they have their backs to the camera. makes the person really want to know what they look like. also seems they are looking ahead. to the future. so on and so forth. good job with this shot. i like it.

thanks for a legitimate critique. i'm glad you broke it down so much. if you look through the rest of my gallery, you'll see i do a lot with dutch angles. they're just more intriguing to me. i'm RARELY satisfied with a STRAIGHT ON shot.
