So the new Muppet Movie is around the corner and I wanted to try my hand at building puppets again. Here's Gonzo the Great made by yours truly.I don't have a lot of spare time but when I do I like to do crazy stuff like this one. It was a fun project to work on. I still have to put some clothes on him but the overall is done.

This is fantastic. I've been really interested in taking up Puppet making as a hobby. I've done clay, drawing, digital, paint, and wood so i just want to try something new. Happen to know of any good tutorials on building puppets? Maybe you can give me some pointers?

That's how I read once that they actually built Gonzo - each time his snout is individually sculpted out of foam like that. Anything you can't do , Dave? There's a rumor you're also building a rocket to Mars in a basement somewhere in your spare time...
