Description
This piece was a pencil sketch that I inked in Illustrator CS6 and painted in Photoshop CS6.

For this illustration, I based the design of his suit from two of my favorite versions. The first being “Ultimate Spider-Man” the video game (based off of the comic series by the same name). This version had really big eyes and also only three vertical lines in the webbing of the forehead between the eyes which made his face really dynamic looking. The second, was the suit design from the original Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies. That costume had raised, shiny webbing and a more complex spider logo on his chest which I really liked. So I combined the attributes off of those two suit designs to make a hybrid between “Ultimate” and “Amazing”.

I never realized how hard drawing Spider-Man actually is! So between rendering the details of his suit and doing the city building landscape, it took me quite a while to complete. Any artist that can make great Spider-Man art and do it quickly…like the incredible artist Patrick Brown…those people deserve a ton of credit for their skills!

Any way, I did my best to do a good job and make something worthy of the fandom. I hope you enjoy viewing it, and make sure to zoom in to see the details!
