By that I mean the centre "nuts" there doesnt look a lot of room to get a socket on them though!?

it is an stl model so it wont look smoothed, not very good for close ups but it will do for standard renders

don`t worry, i`m sure in your great 3d skills, the render is one of the ways to present the model, sometime renders are good another not,when i render some model sometime can`t suit the material scene and other, , keep the very good 3d modelling
