Hi guys, there is a step-by-step video i made for the 11 second club last week ( www.11secondclub.com/ ) kinda fun to animate.You can see here the process on every single acting i make for years. always this way.
if you 're starting to work on flash, use created depths in the character to be organized : animating piece by piece is way easier to reach the final production. And it shows to your lead animator where you are in the process to see if you'll be able to be good for the deadline.

This is great! I love your work and it's cool seeing how people produce their shots. It's funny but you work in the complete opposite way that I do when I'm animating! Body first, lip sync last.

it's the body before the head for action. because we see what is doing the body first...
in acting, i think that lip synch sucks. it's boring, not creative. so if you begin with that, it's done ! we can continue to a better animation ( sorry for my poor english )

Exactly! Body to hit the beats and sell the emotion of the character then facial animation to compliment it.
I quite enjoy lip syncing. It helps to bring everything together and when it's done right, the animation looks amazing. Plus it's funny watching other people work on it as they will start to pull faces at the screen to help get the expression right. My least favourite part to animate are the fingers!

Thank you! No 11 second club work but I've thought about entering. It's just stuff I did at Animation Mentor; stuff I did for my studio job and a personal piece that a friend and I worked on for an E4 competition.
I really love your work; It's so energetic, fun and squishy! I especially like your blob and bot piece. There is just so much character!

haha le 11 second club, ça fait un moment que je ne me suis pas amusée sur un des lipsynch. C'est bien pratique pour s'exercer et ça donne une deadline donc ça évite de se disperser ^^' (enfin je parle pour moi, je trouve à la rigueur qu'une deadline ça aide à rester concentrer). En tout cas c'est bien chouette comme d'hab ^^ et puis ça va grave changer par rapport à la 3D qu'on voit en grande majorité sur le concours

That is very true. It's still amazing to see how everything looks standing on its own and then putting it all together, it makes it all look so natural.
