This is actually a very interesting design! I must say that it is surprising, and kind of has a bit of a sailing keel feel to it. How ever did you get the idea for it?

I didn't make the mesh. It was made by a guy named Howard Day.

wow, i'd love to see this in an episode of trek. I like this very much; this is just a suggestion; have you ever considered designing this ship with two of those 'keel' structures, with one above aswell as below? its nothing against this, its just that i'm obsessive about symetry in my ship designs.lol.

I am not the designer of this ship. As for a second keel on the top... I think it would throw off the Warp field balance...

oh fair enough, hehe, i guess i'm just one to design ships for their looks first, then functionallity second; i know trek ships have been designed to deal with engineering feats in mind, with one such example as the warp engines have to be held away from the main living quarters and so on.

Well, the "keeping away the engines" stuff only mattered in TOS. Just look at modern designs like the Defiant or Sabre classes...

Over all, the design is new and interesting. Strange and refreshingly new. It looks as good as an official CGI model.

I'd love to see the warp field geometry equations for that ship.
I like this alternative design. +Fav

Easily one of the nicest ship designs ever produced by fandom.

it kinda looks like a cross between a B-Wing (from star wars) and a Galaxy glass. Its different, but I like it. Great work.

It's got a big deflector.
What would you put in the 'keel'? There must be a lot of crew quarters down there (judging by the amount of escape pods).
It's also got big nacelles.
It's rather interesting, different.

This is the most innovative design I've seen so far for "trek" ships. I hope to see a similarly intersting bridge design!

hmmm i am a fan of this new star drive design, not sure it works as well as it could with the next gen saucer though, it would be interesting to see a intrepid or maybe an old constitution one would.
