You can never have too many pre-tmp refit constitution class ships in a pic
Great work Dave

I have. I don't actually mind the redesign, as much as I would have liked to have seen the design for the 60's, I don't think it would have looked good on screen. But the new look works for me
Do you like the new look?

I really like it. It is now understandable how they made the refit of TMP with that ship still being the ship Kirk made his five-year-mission with.
Old TOS: Adam West Batman
New TOS: Christian Bale Batman

That's a good comparison actually (the adam west/christian bale thing)
I can't remember who it was, but there's an artist on here who made a similar analogy. I think they said (as part of their signature) "If they can make the batmobile a tank in/for Batman Begins, then they can make the Enterprise a hotrod for Star Trek".

There is actually a Hungarian folk tale on this, called Ludas Matyi (Matt the Goose Herder). The kid was always being harrassed by the local landlord, DΓΆbrΓΆgi, and gets beaten badly. Maty, being a clever boy, learns the things DΓΆbrΓΆgi is afraid of and beats him hree times, always sayig that "You, sir, has beaten me one time. I will return the favor three times". At the end, DΓΆbrΓΆgi flees in complete shame and the crowd is cheering for Matyi
