Hmm. I can see your point, but I feel the modern KITT should retain strong links to his original design, y'know, so he still has...what's the word I'm looking for...his uniqueness, for want of a better expression.

I understand. Yet I think that Kitt is not just the car. In fact, you can place Kitt even in a VW Beetle if he has his personality. I think that the dashboarrd is the part of Kitt that represents him the most, like a face. IMHO, the dashboard should be the oldschool and not definitely the car...
