Description
My first work for the new year: some further tweaking of Buckky's Enterprise. Modifications include: taller bridge dome, larger deflector dish, new texture and addition of antennae on the bussard collectors, removal of the white balls on the end of the nacelles.I'll probably give better textures to the Bussards.
Mesh by Buckky, modifications by me

Do you know how to build a 3D model from scratch??

No. I only tweak them...

Like...could you "tweak" already existing parts to make a 3D model of my spaceship, the SS Benedict XVI, for example??

If it's TOS, I'll try. I don't know what will come out but I'll give it a chance.
A stupid question: Why isn't it USS Benedict? I mean, half the world jokes about good old Pope Adolph being an ex-nazi and "SS" isn't the best prefix in this case

Awesome, thanks so much!! Just be aware that the saucer section is smaller in diameter than those used on larger ships like Connies...just in case you run into some trouble/difficulty in getting the proportions right.
Here's more detailed views of it, just to make things easier:

That's not a stupid question, it's a good one!!
In TOS, there were three different "classes" of starship, with various "model names" for each one. For example, the USS Enterprise was a Starship Class, Constitution variant. In TOS, the ships were classified not by the model name, like in later ships (TNG, etc) but by their classification (like Car, Van, Truck, etc). Planes are classified in much the same manner. The class of the ship was put on the dedication plaque, but the model name was not. So whenever people go back and decide to use their oh-so-great TNG knowledge to "correct" TOS and make the TOS plaque say "Constitution Class" instead of "Spaceship Class," they're just being ignorant and stupid.
The three classes were Spaceship, Starship, and Dreadnaught. Spaceship class vessels were smaller ships usually used for border patrol or cargo transport. Private companies also only used spaceships, not needing the services of the larger stuff like starships, which would simply be too expensive to own, maintain, and crew. Starship class ships were, of course, the larger cruisers used primarily for exploration and defense, like the Constitution variants commanded by the likes of Captains Decker, Tracey, and Kirk. Dreadnaughts are the incredibly large battleships, and were never seen or truly mentioned on TOS.
Watch "Bread and Circuses" again, but this time pay attention to when Kirk and Merrick/Merrickus are talking (especially with Proconcil Marcus). The distinction between Spaceship and Starship is clearly made, and it's an awesome episode just to watch.
About the SS prefix...only Starships and Dreadnaughts held the "USS" prefix to their name. Spaceships held the "SS" prefix," another thing you'll learn when you watch "Bread and Circuses" and Captain Merrick's Spaceship, the SS Beagle, is named on screen.
My ship is also a Spaceship Class vessel, Papal variant, so it doesn't have the USS prefix to the name.
And come now, being a Hilter Youth when he was a kid hardly qualifies as being an "ex-Nazi."

Nice ship you got here
Listen, it's a big job as it's not just the simple TOS Connie part rearrangement like we are used to. I hope I can build the back fins but I'm telling you, I have never even modelled anything more sophisticated than a planet and that's a sphere with a texture on it.
A question about the classifications? What about "Scout", "Destroyer" and "Tug"?
And for old Pope Adolf: the guy was raised to worship Odin in his youth. That ain't really Christian in my book (although Christianity stole a lot of concepts from the norse mythology)

Thanks!!
Hmm...well, I can understand if you have difficulty or are not able to skin the Benedict. At least the back fins aren't that complicated...
"Scout," "Destroyer," and "Tug" were never mentioned on screen and therefore are ambiguous non-canon classifications. The classifications I mentioned (with the exception of Dreadnaught) are screen-accurate and therefore canon.
And you should know better than anyone that how someone was raised is totally irrelevant to how they live now. You, for example, was born Catholic.
And come on...is dissing my faith or its' leaders really necessary?? Enough with the "Pope Adolf" stuff!!
LMAO Christianity stole stuff from Norse mythology, huh?? Wow, I've heard a lot of crazy made-up sh*t about the "TRUE" origins of Christianity, but I've never heard that one. The generally accepted theory used by most agnostics is that Christianity is a direct decendant of the Gnostic religions or the Eastern Mystery religions. That Christianity would be based on Norse mythology would be laughed at by any scholar, especially since cultural contact with Northeastern Europe didn't take place until after Christianity was already around. The Norse would have had to have interacted with Abraham, Moses, or Jesus to be able to influence the origins of Christianity. And considering that all three of those people never interacted with anyone outside of the Middle Eastern/Mediterranian region, any scholar would find that crackpot theory very unlikely.
I don't like to argue, though; you have your beliefs and I have mine. I don't see any reason to question the other's faith or to blast them for it. So let's just get back to stuff we BOTH like and agree on, shall we??

Okay, sorry for the rant. But allow me to say one thing. You said that I was born a Catholic. I say, no, I was born a Human. Religion is not something one is born into, it's the kernel society which decied what faith the poor child must follow. I was born into a Catholic but Communist family so I'm a beliver and a Commie as well.

Fair enough, you're entitled to your feelings.
Btw...what's a "kernel society?" A culture of corn??

Kernel society means the smallest baspc part of society, mostly a family.

Nucelar family, yeah! I knew the word had something to do with atomic physics! (Kern is the German word for Nucleus).

LOL I figured it was a translation issue. No biggie...as a huge culture nerd I thought your "mistake" was pretty cool, actually.
Yay for atomic physics!!
