Description
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have recieved our new orders from Command. For more than a century, Humankind fought its wars alone against the Kzinti. We lost the last war, resulting in the occupation of three of our planets. But it wasn't enough for the Kzinti. The occupation of Cait has finally opened Starfleet's eyes. And now with our four planets finally liberated, they decided not to stop here. You all know what comes next, people: we're invading Kzinhome."(Lines spoken by Captain David Metlesits shortly before the Polaris' departure from Mizar)
All meshes by me. Also, all ships of the Constitution lineage: Destroyer, Light Cruiser, Medium Cruiser, Heavy Cruiser, Dreadnought.

I saw this and mentally started playing "Enterprising Young Men" (the track in the 2009 movie OST when we first see the completed Enterprise and the Starfleet armada leaves Spacedock and jumps to warp). I love seeing Federation ships grouped up in a big fleet. Gives you the sense that something huge is about to happen.

and it continued well into the 90's Very very few original designs. Sovereign, Defiant, everything else was a different hull configuration of Constitution, Excelsior, Galaxy..

Great pic, i like the soft light effect and the shadowing, another small thing that i like with your renders is that you color some of the hull plating in different shades, gives you a sense of these lovely ships being built in sections rather than the "heres your big saucer, now lets slap it on that big old cylinder" look.
Keep up your fine work

At this point, I wonder: why don't they sick good old Inaieu on the Kzinti? I mean, that thing could scare Romulans and Klingons into submission by merely appearing, the Kzinti would be just mincemeat.

USS Inaieu is a Federation starship, Defender-class. It's much more powerful and bigger than a Federation-class dreadnought, so much that in the novel My Enemy, My Ally three D-7 under Romulan control are literally disintegrated by a single salvo of Inaieu. Knowing that Kzinti vessels are much less powerful than a D-7, I don't think they would stand a snowball chance in the sun to resist more than five minutes...

Don't underestimate the Kzinti. They may lack the high-end weapons, but are much faster than all Fed ships.

Yeah, but what speed can do if your weapons can't even weaken the shield of the enemy ship?

If I am in command of a Klingon D-7 cruiser, and come across with that task force. . . Is it a good day to die? O_o

Oh I think it's the Polaris's mission and the dreadnought has honor of accompanying them, and should be damn grateful for the opportunity.

Nahh, the Polaris is a relatively obscure ship
The name surfaced from obscurity when the Nehelania class Polaris went one-on-one against the Enterprise-E during the Federation Civil War and managed a draw.

You mean the 24th century successor crew didn't pimp out their ship with illegally modded weapons too? Like tri-cobalt and transphasic torpedos?

It had a criticality torpedo. Let's just say, it killed off a Death Star in a ST VS SW RPG. With one shot. One single shot!
