Description
The USS Tamerlane, inspired by the webcomic. As for the ship looks different in almost all pages, I had to settle on a "general" look of the layout, including the DoppelgΓ€nger Warp Drive, smaller bridge dome, Pilot nacelle and hangar doors in line with the landing struts. This is my humble way of saying "Thank you!" to the creators of Tamerlane. Their idea of an all-Human crew helped the assembly of the crew of the Polaris.
Fly her high, Julie!

One of my favorite designs, a shame it's not canon.
Believe it or not (but do believe) I'm actually part of that forum USSTamerlane.com. I signed up last year in the hopes for help on a webcomic I want to make.
I would be Loscos.

I'll sign up sometime and post pics of the ship. I'm planning on 3Dizing some "screen shots"/panels.

That has always been my favorite ship design in the Star Trek Universe. A shame it was never "truly" canon.

I'd be Lascas. I joined last year and have been gone there to help with a webcomic I've wanted to make.

A Saladin/Hermes Class; it's one of my favorite designs. I haven't heard of the Tamerlane until now though.
Great job by the way.

Another great one. I also have become a fan of the Tamerlane comic, and I must confess myself confused about one thing.
"What is a DoppelgΓ€nger Warp Drive?"

The DoppelgΓ€nger Warp Drive is the Tamerlane's anwer for the "nacelles-must-be-in-pairs" rule. It is actually a subspace field emitter in a form of an antenna located on the top of the saucer.

i just wish those designs could be seen on screen in the TOS-episodes, but in those days people making ST had too little fantasy in creating different starshipdesigns... *sigh*

Not fantasy. Money. Trek was always short on money back in those days.

A TOS ship with one nacelle? That's hardly a Centaur.

Yeah, you're right. The Centaur has two nacelles.
My mistake.
