DBZ and all its characters belong to Toei Animation, Funimation, and Akira Toriyama (Who is god of this world).Something occurred to me as I was thinking about the Cell Saga. When Piccolo chastised Goku for making Gohan fight, he didn't really have a leg to stand on.
Am I the only one who realized this?

I think that by now Piccolo cares more about Gohan now not that he didn't before but I think now it is like "no!!! he is like my son" with the Sayians it was that Piccolo knew Gohan had a hidden power and it could help him later and on Namek well he was dead and Gohan wanted to go but he did let Gohan fight but then with Cell he knew that they probably did not have a chance and he did not want to see him die because by that time he really really cared for Gohan because by that time his love has grown. Piccolo just thinks that Goku is being irresponsible.

Well.... You do got to remember that Kami & Nail are Now a part of Piccolo durring this Saga so as far as I see it it's Ether one or the both of them voicing there Thoughts onto Goku through Piccolo in that scene.

That's a good point; even if we consider Nail and Kami's influences on him at this point, why doesn't he at least acknowledge Gohan's track record? Err, I mean, his past deeds?

I think his arguement was more or less that if Goku is the most powerful being on Earth, why would he step aside and let ANYONE take the battle for him, much less his own son?

Anyway, Piccolo was kind of evil when the show started. He had character developement over time, so his point is valid during the cell saga.

That's kind of the way the whole series was. It all seems fine at the moment when you're watching, but when you think about it as a whole, there are a lot of parts that don't work together.
