This piece is a bit less crowded than many of my drawings. I think that sometimes less is more in terms of composition. It's a picure about meditation, self-restraint, the transcendance of the physical body, and the knowledge that sometimes it's best to stay in your castle when you've got the horn.Related content

Sort of like staying in your own ship when you've got the jar of dirt.... (referencing Pirates of the Caribean there).
this is real good- love the message too. I think what I like most are the pawn pieces moving aroudn the castle.

I came to the gallery because of the style of the DD. And was drawn more to this piece, possibly because of it's simplicity. The message really stands out. I like that the pawns seem to be alive, gaping at the king, or even waiting to be fed by the 'mother bird'.
This piece says so much to me.
