At first glance this is a staggeringly good image, but it looks a little blurred to me, and I cant work out if thats intentional or result of camera shake. Sorry don't mean to sound judgemental but i just feel a fantastic image was spoiled a little.

I appreciate the comments Larry... as for the blur, I don't know what to say except that it has been my experience that a heavy fog will sometimes cause a distorted appearance both in person and on film or a digital sensor. I used a tripod, had vibration reduction on and used an Infrared wireless remote
control shutter release for both this shot and the one here [link] shot the same morning. I personally am very happy with both images but would be more than happy to hear any suggestions you might have to improve these type of shots in the future.
I don't mean to sound defensive but I really don't have any clue as to what else may have caused the problem.

Sorry, this is the second time I've requested a print by mistake. But trust me if I had the finances right now.

Sorry about that. xD

Thank you so much!

I had to drive 2 1/2 hrs. in this really thick fog to get to the job one morning but after capturing these shots I felt a lot better about it.

This one is more accurate rendering of actual colors.
I like the way the trees look in this one but I prefer the other overall because of the feeling the soft colors add.

Thank you!
I took about 20 shots in different areas of the site and tried different settings. Actually got maybe 4 that I liked.

That's still a pretty good "hit" ratio...cripes sometimes I shoot 50 or so and keep 2

I've had those days too....most times I'm shooting I spend a lot of time searching for that "best shot" without ever actually taking the picture. Other days I just shoot indiscriminately and hope for some good ones.
This day the fog was as thick as pea soup from time I left home at 4am till well after noon, and I had never tried shooting in those conditions before. As you know, some times the image on the lcd looks fine but when you get it on the PC looks like crap..... I was rather fortunate that these shots came out the way I had hoped.
