Just a somewhat off-topic question. I'm not sure if you have this somewhere, but I've looked around your tutorials and you don't seem to say what program you use for screen recording. I've downloaded a few programs, but none actually seem to work. And while I'm asking questions, could I also ask you how you upload the videos onto youtube and speeding it up?
Thanks so much for all the tutorials you've made!

Very unhelpful, sadly. You constantly switched brushes, and half the time didn't even use them. I can't read the text, either, so it's impossible to know if you used overlay/multiply, which brushes you used exactly, and even whether or not you used opacity. Next time please try to actually speak through out the video, giving an explanation. I'm very frustrated, so much so I'm actually insulting my computer.

I watched it again, and actually payed attention this time. Sorry for my harsh words. I kind of got the hang of it, but I'm still in no way as good as you. Is that a specific Photoshop, or does it look that way because you use it on a MAC? [Guessing by your name.]
It's very simple to see your brushes, and what they do. I wish I could figure out how to get a better display like that.
Anyway. Here's my link, and what I managed to do. Thank you very much!

All the brushes are in the gallery. I don't use gimp so they probably won't work, only Photoshop CS and above i'm afraid

Awesome tutorial I really got inspired by your work!
Can I ask a question? What tabletsize do you use/recommend? Never used tablets before, but I figure they're pretty lenient to the fingers compared to mouse-clicking ^^
Again - really sweet work, and thanks for sharing your skills with tutorials and brushes etc

I use an A4 intuos 3, most people use a widescreen a5 though. Bigger means more control

As a graphic designer and comic artist your tuts have been a tremendous help to me and your brushes are now my favorites of all time.
What games/movies have you worked on? I am greatly intrigued now!
Hopefully I can start a career out of this! lol

i was like OMG and WOW all way through. it's amazing, not just that brush collection and how well you use them but also you seem to play around with layer properties and such, which i still know very little off. was great to watch you work!! was wondering already for quite some time how you are getting to those great works of yours. and now i can see it
well, as in what i would find helpful,... i think its great that you show the brushes in big size before making them smaller, so one can see which one you are using for what. also i like the fact that you show it in real time - usually sped up paintings look impressive, but are not as useful to learn something from it (well, not for me anyway XD). whilst watching this tut the following would be interesting for me to know more about (either in narration or written down):
what properties are you setting your layers on, and why? do you use some kind of reference? what are those top layers with which you seem to change lightness etc. (might be obvious to some, but this whole thing is still quite new to me)? do you have brushes set on normal or also different properties when you use them? what are all those adjustments you do at the end XD ? do you follow a general rule after which you decide what goes on which layer?
ok, those are more questions now than i thought XD anyway, this is a great tutorial and already by just looking at it i feel like i can understand a bit more about the whole process. thx a lot and even more for sharing

You're awesome. Any chance of listing some of the brushes you used?

Thank you for sharing. I was wondering how you were keeping the "energy" in your compositions. They always seem to have some movement in them. I learned something, thanks!
