I was thinking, I might be a little colorblind, but it appears that Alex's skintone is white especially compared to his character profile. I wonder if he has some monochrome still in him. It could be an interesting allusion, someone who is pursuing his dreams but has one thing that is holding him back and unable to be fully colored.

Hmmm. Maybe I should play with this for a while. I changed the color scheme for Alex to show a lighter skin tone than average, either by his ethnicity (He's part Japanese) or the fact that he's more indoors-slash-in a costume than out, and I went a bit too far light.
Maybe I should give him some more color, ooooooor......
