Description
A parliminary Sketch of one of the Planeswalker/Deities in my D&DXMTG Campaign World. As written elsewhere, Elspeth Triel planeswalked her way into one of the three warring Medevial China-style kingdoms and saw the need to dispose of a heavy handed Legalistic Emperor. An emperor who found out the hard way that 1 Planeswalker vs a Million Man Army is One Planeswalker too many. Under the rules of "You kill, you keep," she ended up taking the throne herself and establishing a Bant-style kingdom in place of the old.
As she did so, she grew to appreciate the local flavor of the land, and gradually assimulated as much as she could into the culture, which shows in her "White Emperesss" outfit, which combines her Bant armor with an Chinese style dress.
Edit 1: I got her past the inking stage, and while some might think I still need to do her hands better. But I did add some edits from suggestions earlier. Later on, Color.

It's me again: first and foremost, the words you're looking for are "Preliminary" and "Assimilate". It's also "a" (as opposed to an) chinese dress.
Having not played M:TG since the old Test of Endurance G/W lifegain deck, I have no idea how close you're aiming to the actual source character. I'll hold my more stern words for reminding you this won't help you advance as a published, profitable writer (because it's copyrighted to someone else), mostly because fanfic writers very rarely make it anywhere. But practice is practice, and if your work like this keeps you sane, then that's fine.
Onto the visual; You're adding detail again, very good. At a first glance, it appears like you've competently blended the whole "Warrior Princess" sort of character, with armor overlaying the dress layers. One of the reasons I hate drawing characters of royalty/nobility is the sheer amount of embellishment their outfits contain; someone from Elspeth's background would seem to have these things. More detail! She demands it. Slightly more brief: her hands are too small.
Other than those things, I'm glad to see a step toward adding more detail. I'm pleased to see you're using the old "ball-joint" model as a base. Some of your work had originally led me to believe you were just kinda eyeballing it and hoping for the best.
Another step toward the goal line, keep it up!

You're right about the last part of the second paragraph. You've noticed the funk I was in, and if working on Shendivari is what will pull me out of it, then so be it. Besides, I can work on my style with these devs and use the development on things like SPI.
I added more detail on the inking stage (and if I were told that the hands needed to be bigger I would've done so. Maybe next time) and I expect things to be more detailed once I add color. I'm really glad I got the Warrior Princess blend right.
Also, I did put up a 'Ball joint' base once I got a couple action lines put on paper for the pose. It seemed to help.

Bant is one of the five "Shards" that made up the M:TG plane of Alara. At one time, during Magic's Ice Age I wager, the plane got shattered into the shards, with each shard representing thre of the five colors of magic and no access to two of them. Pick a color, add the neighbors and omit the opposing colors, and you have a 'shard.' You can read up on Alara at this [link]
Bant is the shard that is "Green-White-Blue," and is known for being utopic in nature. Angels and Birdmen and Paladins are commonplace, and the kingdoms there are ruled by Nobility and Honor. While Knighthood are practiced and training for warfare is commonplace, the actual fighting are done by single combantants with the rest of the armies cheering them on with flags and insignias; the Exalted machanic at work. It's understandable that Elspeth didn't want to leave the shard until the shards started to combine back into a single plane.
Valeron, Elspeth's kingdom in Shedivaldi, isn't as perfect as Bant, mainly because they neighbors a couple warring states that doesn't subscribe to Elspeth's honorable way of warfare. And there's always assassins gunning for Elspeth's Spark. But Elspeth's rule takes Bant's sense of Honor and Nobility and adjusts it to this comparatively harsher world.
Jamie's story might involve a stint in Valeron so she can learn adventuring, and to brush up on her bow skills.

I like the costume design, but there's something weird going on with her spine here. She needs a little more room for her ribcage. I'm not explaining this well. >_<
