Description
Susan is a character almost as old as Johnny is, and was thought up by a close online friend of mine. And the two of them have been seen together in many a Role Play.It only was natural for her to show up in "The Ballad of Johnny Briz," [link] and she enters the scene in the second act.
They find her much like they found Johnny; exhausted in the bushes one 'magical' day. At first she was terrified over seeing humans, even smaller humans than what she's used to, but once they calmed her down, they found out that what brought her here was traumatic enough to block her memory. Something about her village being destroyed. Thinking that her old life is behind her, and seeing this hunkasaurus of a mousie (Johnny) she joins the group.
They discover two things while she's with them. While normally, shy, sweet, and croquettish in general but "I want to get in Johnny's pants" in particular, she's got something Bronies would call a "Super Fluttershy Mode" Whenever she sees Johnny or his friends in danger, she shifts into a combat style that would make Jun Kasama jealous.
But what is more unnerving is how she acts stange around Max Lantz, almost as if she falls into a trance. It is eventually discovered that she couldn't remember what happened between the destruction of her village and getting found by JB because she was brainwashed by Max to woo Johnny and bring him to his company.
However, there was something Max didn't count on: JB and Susan's mating, which while based in a biological drive to procreate, but with their evolved makeup puts up a spiritual form as well. Her feelings for Johnny and the desire to be his mate starts to crack through her programming, and in a pivotal moment, Johnny breaks it with a deep wet toe curling Get-a-Fsking-Room kiss of passion.
Edit: In the official script, Max has another scheme that deals with her, but it eventually gets thwarted nonetheless.
At that point, Max decides to just go all out and set into motion a scheme that will lead to his climatic battle with Johnny. But it also prompts Susan to be Johnny's devoted wife and partner, hopefully with their relationship out in the open instead of what Mickey and Minnie has to deal with. ("I think they had to fake it after all these years.")
Looking back on the pic, however, I think that I have the pose wonky between the hips and the waist. Although I'm not too concerned. I just wanted to set up the character at this time.
Susan Traveller by Drew Rhine *ScarletFoxfire
Edit 1: I decided. No More Polka Dots. Imagine having to draw them all into almost every page. No wonder my "Keep it Simple, $#!*head" warning bell rang!
This means that Amber's 'Minnie Mouse style' dress will be altered. Probably with either larger dots or with solid colros like in the cartoons.
The reason behind the School Uniform is mostly because I didn't find anything else more appropiate at this time. (I'll be sure to get some store catalogs in the future) and that she needed a look that resembles a classic 'toon, hence the red , white (you can see the difference between white cloth and white fur (Warm vs Cool) and black outfit.
I'm sure that they'll find some other colors for her to wear over time. (meaning, me, of course)
Edit 2: Thanks go to #NewToontownUSA to add her to the group. Just keep in mind that she's still curious about the new world she's in, and that she's pretty much Johnny Briz's Minnie. I hope that some scenarios in the group would help me develop Susan better. If there's any suggestions, please let me know.

Susan may be Minnie to JB's Mickey there ARE some other differances. Ranked from the most obvious to least.
[1] Susam is a white coloered mouse where Minnie's black.
[2] Susan has a mane of hair. Minnie doesn't.
[3] Susan's background before Johny came into her will be revealed over time. We have yet to learn ANYTHING about Minnie Mouse before Mickey found her crying.
[4] Susan won't wait around to be rescued but try to escape on her own. Minnie on the other hand did nothing but either cry, shout for mickey, or shake in fear.
[5] Susan know a style of Martial arts designed by and used by mice. All minnine knows is paniced maiden style of fighting.

Thanks. I have the feeling that Johnny would like seeing her in that. Also, it meshes well with the Chromatown motif. Also, it's much easier to draw.

Okay, this is a good improvement over the initial piece. The pose is more natural, and, he hands are drawn better. Good to see you're using different white colors to differentiate.
For shading whites, the important thing to remember is that one uses a pale blue to shade it rather than gray. Light is kind of funny like that.

Here's food for thought. Considering both Johnny and Susan are between two or three feet tall, they'd fit into kids' clothes pretty readily. If any of you supporting cast has children (or kid siblings), they could easily donate some old clothes to the situation.
As for what in which to dress Susan, it'd be pretty easy to check a department store catalog or ad bulletin for kids clothes and go from there. It's not that dresses are out if style (considering Chromatown's retro roots), but it's pretty obvious whose closet she's been looting.
Just remember, people operate and conclude visual things by identifying them against things they know. If you want Johnny and Susan to stand out, it has to come across as more than "like Mickey and Minnie but different". You've come a long way with Johnny, I'm sure you and Drew can make it happen for Susan too.

One of the first thing Amber does with Johnny is to take him to a thrift store to root around the kid's clothes line. (of course, some tailoring is done to some of the clothes; Those buttons on the pants go a long way.) I'm thinking that same way for Susan is in order, although she might take one look at Honey Boo Boo [link] and go, "Those dresses are more suited for _me_, kiddo!" and raid her closet.
But I will do one thing, though: Those Polka Dots are OUT! Copyright problems aside (How can Disney own white Polkadots on red?) they are a beatch to draw and color them all. (Keep It Simple, $#!*head)
And I'll be sure to do the long way with Susan when I'm working on the story. And I hope that, when Drew catches up with me, he can offer suggestions as well.

Remember Susan would most likely wear dresses on the weekends and special occations. Mon - Fri she would snug yet loose blouses and pants. Susan knows martial arts so most of her clothing selecting would be along the lines of being to move freely if she gets into a fight. She might even wear "Fighting Skirts" mentioned in the Ranma 1/2 Fanfiction Girl Days ( [link] ). By the way I recomend it. it's a good and funny read.

Short skirts with velcro at the sides, eh? She'd probably get a lot of fighting skirts. Probably from Alex since he's the costume pro. I'm sure that, in more casual days, she'll dive into Johnny's pants every so often
And keep your mind out of the gutter, folks. I meant his wardrobe.

Well, she does have a need for pockets. Save for her "Bag of Surprises," I don't see her rocking a purse.
Maybe she keeps a wallet between her boobies.

I was going to post on this yesterday, but life happens.
If something seems off to me, from an artistic standpoint, it has to be her right arm. The elbow seems to bend the opposite way, and the knuckles don't line up for the angle the arm leaves the wrist. For the hand, the best solution is to put your opposing hand in that position and draw the basic concept from there.
Also, I'm sure the Minnie Mouse dress is just some form of placeholder, so I'll leave it at that.
And well... If you have to go down the whole "mating" path here, I can only advise you to tread carefully. The kiss concept is a solid concept; that love is a powerful force that conquers all. However, we're still in a society that has an adverse reaction to sex (and a bad association with furries), so I would probably imply anything more raunchy than a little tongue-free smooching. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Yeah, I think that I would've had it bent the other way as well.
As for her dress, what would you suggest. I'm thinking about something that will contrast well with her white fur. Maybe something black. I don't know if I should do Lolita style, or maybe not as elaborate.
And I will be toning down the sex bit considerably.

I'm sure she'll find a lot of stuff in the thrift store. Of course by then, the owners might have considered getting a cat for all the giant mice they're seeing perusing the place.

okay. I see this scene happening.
cat: Meow?
Susan: EEK! *PUNTS CAT*
JB: Now Susan that wasn't nice.

JB would probably join in, although Johnny would just "ABOO!" the cat. Here's a good sequence, Johnny scares the cat so that it gets straight up and that sets up a Tekken Tag Assault.

Hmm, so Johnny is getting a love interest of his own species? Does that mean you're cutting the ill-advised cross-species romance with Amber, or what? I really hope you're not intending a love-triangle plot here -- that'd be tacky. (I also sort of wish there wasn't a brainwashing plot here, since that casts a lot of troublesome consent issues on the relationship as stands.)
Also, if Johnny and Susan are getting married (and presumably consummating the marriage), is Susan going to be pregnant or nursing for the rest of the story? Actually, come to think of it, are they even capable of having children? Being enlarged to dozens of times your former size probably has a lot of long-term health problems, and I wouldn't be surprised if infertility were on that list.

On Point 1: Johnny will get a love interest of his own species in Act Two. JohnnyAmber is more platonic, and nothing above some scritching and an occasional kiss does on. (The brainwashing plot may be lessened or removed, if need be. Remember my mantra as spoken by my Inner Retard, 'Keep It Simple, ****head.' I'm sure to change it to something else, an injected tracing device, maybe.)
Johnny and Susan will get married at the end of Act Three. And you might have a point about them having problems bearing children. The two scientists will discover that the two will have some problems bearing children. No, they're not infertile, but the combination of their respective 'ratperiments' and being blown to toon size severely slowed their reproductive cycles. They can still bear a child. However, it would be as rare as any larger animals and that they should not expect litters. (In fact, the two scientists in the story will have just what you mentioned as a concern. That's why they'll study the two of them close.)
