Built in 1902 by Vickers for the Imperial Japanese Navy, Mikasa is based on the Royal Navy's Formidable-class battleship. She fought in the Russo-Japanese War (1904-05) and was Admiral Togo's flagship at the Battle of Tsushima Strait. Today she is berthed in concrete just outside of the Yokosuka Naval Base.Yokosuka, Japan
