Description C10 8 after re-orientation on the turntable at Senzu Station.  C10 8 pulls SL Oigawa; this train consists of C10 8, a 2-6-4T freight engine pulling a set of Ohafu 33 and Oha 35 passenger cars. The C10 was manufactured in 1930 and is an example of the first class of steam engines produced by Japan Government Railways post nationalization. The passenger cars were all built 1939-1950. According to Japanese Wikipedia most of the passenger cars SL Oigawa owns are pre-war style though they were almost all "modernized" (term used very loosely) in the 1950s. The SL (steam locomotive) cheats a little, as out of picture is the electric engine on the tail pushing while the steam engine is pulling! Grandma's Cafe is in the background, I recommend all their boar meat meals.

In the background is a vintage passenger car used on the Thomas the Tank Engine "Day Out" Halloween train.
