Description
C59 161 (Class-C59 No. 161) is a JNR Class-C59 4-6-2 steam locomotive. The class went into production in 1941 and was used for passenger service. C59161 was built in 1946 and served until 1971. Today she's parked outside the Hiroshima Children's Museum where visitors can climb into the cab and imagine what it was like driving a steam locomotive. Or take pictures with expensive cameras. Whichever.Hiroshima, Japan

I think the heavy layer of paint has done it's job well. Its a bonus that visitors can get in the cab and not just look at it.
