No, it had a 75mm Vickers Heavy or a unknown type of 77mm

Yeah, I like the Comet too. It is a 17-pdr. but uses a different 17-pdr. than the one in the Firefly.

I only first learned of the Comet at TankFest but have since looked them up. I agree that they're quite interesting.

The British struggled, I think, with tank design throughout WWII because of "Infantry" and "Cruiser" (cavalry) tank concepts and were well armoured, but undergunned. I think once they came up with the Centurion, they were away!
