Oh thanks! I went to check and realize "Sixteen Candles" and "BreakfastClub" were not well know in France and how surprised was I to realise A M Hall is the one from "Dead Zone"!

I see you found them on your own - you're right about this being a particularly "American" movie - it neatly divided up American teens into categories only to combine them neatly in the end.

Anthony Michael Hall has changed A LOT since Breakfast Club. I didn't realize he was in the Dead Zone series until I looked it up. Christopher Walken played that part in the original movie.
