Watercolour. 30cm x 40cm.Made a sketch on location:
whilst it gently rained on us (my fiancee on the rock), so I thought I'd try and emphasise the gloomy weather.

We have similar landscapes in my area and I can totally relate to the scene and the environment. Except in my case there has to be a mountain bike next to me)

Grand. I suppose the mushrooms you took the photo of are from there too. Over here, in Europe, the mushroom season starts, so loads of people go picking them.

Thanks Rene! Yeah that's right. People over here pick them too, both for the larder and 'recreational' use. I would'nt have dared touch all the ones I saw - they look very, very poisonous!

Thanks! I have a mushroom book too, but in the wild I find it really hard to be sure what it is I'm looking at, as there always seems to be one that looks similar to an edible one, that's deadly!

As far as I am concerned, I donΒ΄t pick them either. I stay on the safe side and buy only the button mushrooms from supermarkets
