This is my re-creation of Sir John Tenniel's 'Mad Hatter' illustration from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. The illustration was also used by Charisma records as their logo.The original can be viewed here:

Love that homage to the Mad Hatter illustration for the Charisma label. It's one of my favorite labels featuring Genesis (PG-era), Van Der Graaf Generator, Audience, The Nice, and Lindisfarne. It's up there with the Swirling Vertigo label, the Pink Island label, Harvest, and my favorite; Regal Zonophone (Procol Harum, T. Rex, The Move, and Junior's Eyes)

As with my other images I scour the internet for appropriate photographs (a bit of hair here, an arm there; a nose here, a bow tie there)and then I composite them digitally. My Mad Hatter is made up of about 100 layers of separate images, but the hunt for the right images takes up the most time!
