Here is a tutorial on how to create water textures that I've had made here using similar techniques.Had to remake a new water texture just for this tutorial but luckily it was pretty easy and I dont wanna waste too much time on it so I rush it through. (since they look about the same after I scaled this tutorial one down to the current size.

Great step by step. Which sites do you use often for base diffuse? I use cgtextures, but I'm not sure what others are out there.

Mostly is use google to get photos and photomanipulate them into seamless textures..
I find those texture databases to be limited in the variety I need.
