Do you think so? I certainly do think the Tilda Swinton Jadis looked too pretty and not fierce enough.
I'll admit that my mental image of Jadis is less pretty than this picture, as much as I love it and am glad I commissioned it.
I have had some debates with Narnia fans about whether Jadis is beautiful or not. In The Magician's Nephew, Digory believes that Jadis is the most beautiful woman he ever saw, but Polly insists that there was nothing beautiful about her. A lot of fans think Polly was just jealous and Jadis really was beautiful. I tend to think that Polly was right and although Jadis was probably attractive, there was something lacking about her appearance.
