This reminds me of a woman I saw back when shoulder pads were, er, big (if you pardon the pun). Say early/mid 80's. I was walking along a street mid-town Manhattan, upper 30's, behind this tiny woman. Thin, short, with shoulder pads that would have impressed a linebacker. I swear her dress had shoulder pads, the jacket had shoulder pads, and I wouldn't have been surprised if her bra had shoulder pads. It made her shoulders twice as wide as she was!
