Ever since it was opened, Fanfiction.NET had always been a place for fans of any series or franchise to feel at home. To express whatever is on our minds and truly let our love for characters, plotlines, and scenarios to shine through. So, Fanfiction.net has always been a place for us to writers to 'Unleash our imagination' as the tagline states, but now we are having that right to freedom of speech and expression taken away from us when FF.net decided to go through a massive purge to remove thousands of stories from its library, some of the best fanfics ever written, gone, never to be read again.

They are removing anything involving sexual situations, or violence, or inspired by a song, the list goes on. And we as readers see this as a gross waste of talent and incredible material. Since when are they allowed to dictate what goes into our stories? They are OUR pieces of work. This whole situation is absurd. There are better ways to deal with like Adult Filters and Age Restrictions Filters? There are so many other options! Most other website has age restrictions and filter to prevent young members or non members to see mature contents, so I don't see how that is a more difficult task to implement on FF.net.

So after being in FanFiction.net for years, I have decided that I will no longer be posting any of my works to FanFiction.net. All because I will no longer support a website that is destroying creativity freedom. The rule on FanFiction.net about M+ or MA is very ridiculous. Why an MA story is forbidden? No explanation was given. Like seriously isn't hurting anyone. It is very stupid that people really want us to follow the laws and rules without giving us a reason, and then they get mad when someone is against them. But it is something I notice about the human race. They are always acting so self-righteous. They think they can make any rules and expect us to follow them without question.

And then people are telling me to not hate the human race! Sorry but I have a good legit reason to hate them. They are selfish and idiots creatures that love to antagonist each other for a stupid reason. If FF.Net administrators really want to eliminate mature stories, then they should eliminate the M rating. M and MA are not different from each other, so eliminate the M system and rename FF.net to Kid FanFiction.net. Also, I have a huge reason to be unhappy with this. Rules and Laws only exist to make things safer, better and organize. Rules and laws don't exist just to be there, they are there to keep things in order. Rules and laws don't exist to be abuse by idiots who think they can do whatever they want, so if you want us to follow your rules, then give us a reason.

FanFiction.net rules not only is unfair but also is garbage since there is no reason for the MA purged. After all adult stories are not harming anyone, and the one who as to take responsibility for younger people are the parents or guardians and not us. If mature stories are not allowed then, the more logical way is for the administrators is to remove the M and T rating. Also, people like myself always warn about the story contents before the reader start to read it, and that means it's not our responsibility on who read the story and that is a fact. If a child reads our stories then it is the parent or guardian fault and not us.

But nowadays many now lack the knowledge of what responsibility is, how to function with those around them and expect everything handed to them on a silver platter the minute they demand it. This lackadaisical attitude has quietly infiltrated our mindsets and turned them into a narrow-minded, indifferent society of people who excuse away bad behavior, always blaming others such as unanimated objects for their actions. In the end, the MA purged has no reason to exist and all it's doing is antagonize author who just wants to unleash their imaginations.
