Seriously I've seen so many people block others for completely bullshit reasons when anyone does nothing wrong with them. People like this they would comment on someone else's profile/art, then immediately block them because they didn't want a reply or some shit, and I can see how it'd be very irritating to have someone block you, but continuously comment/view/stalk on your profile or leave you a comment before block the person.
The block feature is not something you should use to hide from other's arguments or opinions. So don't be a butthurt pussy about it because it makes you look like a total coward who can't handle anything. The best thing to do to avoid confrontation does not bother to make a comment in someone else comment-section in the first place or neither hit the reply button in the first place.
I mean there are people blocking me because I have a different taste on something and you know what, blocking someone for pissing or trolling you off in some way that is okay. But blocking someone because they have their own taste of games, movie, anime, cartoon, comic book, manga, etc, and labeling them as a troll in some cases?
You're only showing that you're easily sensitive to other people's opinions and if you don't like their opinion? Fine but just don't be a dick or a bitch about it, so save your block-list for real spammers and others that won't stop bothering you no matter what, but never use your block-list a for a stupid reason such as for someone have a different-taste or on something or for someone have a complete different opinion on something.

Thank you dude/dudette for making this stamp. I am blocked by a person called SailorMoonFanGirl , despite the fact I have never talked or even walked to her profile ever before in my existance. Why? And also I found out journals of other people who have been blocked from her for trivial or zero reasons. Well, apparently a person drew some pictures as a gift for her birthday and acted kind to her, yet after the two days passed (because you can't re-block a person until 48 hours have passed) she blocked him again. I wouldn't be surprised if she has half the population of the entire website on her blocklist. And it's mostly of people who haven't done anything wrong, which means that she is doing this without a justified reason. This is evidence for abusing the block feature on Deviantart.

was it because I didn't reply to her comment, because I didn't fave her art, because she doesn't want the accident to repeat, because they have different opinions and tastes in stuff or another reason? Well, then this is ridiculous and they are being blockfags who abuse the block system. What should be done is the administrators moderators people should disable and remove the block feature on this website forever. There are people like SailorGirl and Sizumi-Hikari who use it to block people for weird or no reasons whatsoever. This website has turned into a garbage dump with the community being worst in the whole Internet world.

Okay, I don't want nobody to attack the person because I know it is bad.
But I was blocked by 711bunnygirlcute for no reason, despite I never harassed her, never yell at her, never told her bad words and never was rude to her. I'm just requested a Oc x canon drawing are a drawing of my oc with kaga from the azur lane they both kissing at all and I was waiting but when I checked her out then I realized she blocked me and even the journal of her where i commented the request is deleted. Seriously, it was so disrespectful to blocking me for no reason, and I guess she even rejected my request despite if she told me that.
But in old I was blocked by another artist named marssscarlet who did the same such as deleting the request journal where I requested a drawing of my Oc with karibuchi takami from the brave witches they both kissing, but she is deactivated.

i don't have you on my black list (i don't know you, so why should i block you? o.O), so it shouldn't be a problem to add the picture from alucard to your favourites or comment on it. o.O
maybe a bug from deviantART prevent you to fav or comment it at the moment. sometimes i have similar problems too.
if you are able to see a picture from a person, then you are not blocked by that person. but whatever the reason is that causes that problem, i feel honored that you like the picture.

I got blocked by this guy SuperCartoon255 . I never harrassed him, never don't know much about him. But, why did he blocked me? Because I hate the J-POP band Puffy AmiYumi (he likes it, I respect people who like things I hate). Before he blocked me, he sent a death threat to me via profile comment and note, saying that I should killed myself because I hate Puffy AmiYumi. While I still blocked, he keeps making hate status posts targeting me because he is angered to my opinion that I hate Puffy AmiYumi.
The irony? He sent that death threat to me two days before my birthday :'/

I only block if someone leaves a nasty comment on my art, doesn't leave me alone, spams me, trolls me or even tries to harass me. People need to stop taking advantage of the block tool.

Believe it or not, apparently I've once been blocked for doing nothing more than faving multiple submissions in one go. I don't know whether it was because of faving "too much", or because of faving without commenting, but I got blocked for faving. :S
Here's what to do if somebody blocks you during a debate - reply to your own comment instead of theirs. And mention in the reply that they blocked you. For example, "I have to post this response under my own comment because (username) blocked me" or something like that.
