Yes, even though I don't make stamps. My friend is prone to seizures, and even though she's not on dA, I'm worried she'll find some overly flashy "KAWAII YAOI WOOFZZZ ANIMEEEE WARRIUR KATS DESU!!1!!" stamp.
((Sorry if the "KAWAII YAOI WOOFZZZ ANIMEEEE WARRIUR KATS DESU!!1!!" part offended anyone. It seems that the weeaboos and such do tend to use the "KAWAII FLASHES~" to prove their point.))

as much as i like flashy stamps i am against them because people with epilepsy and such uwu

Though this probably contradicts your originality stamps, sometimes simple is the best way to go. Some stamps are a little TOO flashy and distracting from the point, but at the same time you want to grab people's attentions, which is kind of the point of a good background.

the originality stamps aims for the artist who draw characters that are almost mirror image to pre-existing characters with only a few minor differences and call them 'their own' characters and when I ask 'why not do something different' they say 'originality is dead'
i wouldnt really consider my stamps to be 'art' but more just a fancy way to express my messages and for people to use if they want to. I jus prefer to make simple stamps the gets straight to the point.

I suppose it really just depends on the person making it. In my opinion, however, something at least slightly colorful just to grab the reader's attention. But whatever you perfer. Your stamp after all.
