Sorry I haven't been active that much, school and job is just taking all of my energy away from me. This is the best thing I can come up with for now. Which I realize isn't much... it has potential for a bigger more thought out concept drawing.For a while I was seriously considering changing over a lot of the main characters in LotN to Wild dogs and having it set in Africa so I could draw more interesting animals. Still some what considering it, but right now mmy brain has been too fried to think much past food, sleep, work, rent, school.
Loosing second dog also hasn't helped much. I don't have any good pictures of her though so I'm not sure if she'll get a nice RIP picture like Kay did. But yeah ... so now when I go back home I will have no dogs to hug. Just memories of my four legged family members.
Maybe thats why this came out so angsty... meh now I'm rambling
Hope you like it and hopefully I'll have something better to give you latter.

I won't link out of respect for some artists really hating it, but I just took a photo of an awd last week at Miami zoo in a similar stare pose, I caught his eyeshine too because of the rain that at the time I was cursing lol. I'm really sorry about your dogs, but don't think of it as a curse that you have lost them, but remember all the fun you had with them while they were still alive. It will be hard but you should be happy,........happy that you were able to make their lives meaningful and let them have fun while they were still breathing. We, all your followers and friends on DA, will be here for you if you need us. I hope we speak again my fellow Comrade.
P.S. This might be too soon and might sound a little intrusive in your personal affairs, but if you don't mind telling me what happened to your dogs i honestly have no idea?

My dog Kay (our Germon Shepard mix) was bleeding internally from a tummor, and Latte (our Cairn Terrier) blood count dropped down to 9 in a week and a half (it should be 40) and she became literally skin an bones b/c she wasn't able to keep any food down despite the medican we gave her. Both dogs died in a little more than a month apart, and the smaller one was only 8. Kay was a least 14 I think. I'd have to look at the dates again.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I really meant what i said in my previous comment, for i have lost a few of my pets:but not a dog. You are a kind person from what i know of you so they most have really loved you. May you find happiness once again for they wouldn't want you to grieve all your life. All your followers, including me, will help you if you ask for it or need it. We of DA are here for you.

I support the idea! It sounds very interesting! On the other hand, the one possible down side is they all have the same color scheme and you'll have to switch the markings up dramatically to make it noticable which character is which

You can always add slight color variants and make some spots really huge- more like markings than randomly placed spots
I do like the setting in Africa though. It would add a lot more variety.

Aw, I hope you keep the story just the way it is, just to prove that wolf comics can be original, if the artist is good enough (that and I really dislike the landscape in Africa
