Description
So this is another one of my homework asignments:Basicly I need to come up with a website for a product of my choice (I picked my comic) I also need to do a 2 page paper on my reaserch on that product and why I desided to use curtain colors (it's my Color Theory class)
So I though it might be cool to have a poll to beable to put in that paper. Like "I choose to use a green background b/c 75% of the people who read the comic agree the green complements tho other colors used."
So please let me know which design/color you like best as a website design. And if you could actully add why that would be amazing of you.

I'd say the top left one. The colours suit the legacy of the night

I think the top left corner is the best one. The blues complement each other whil the other colors seem to clash to much with the background. While the middle blue screen is pretty, I feel that their is to much unused space. You fixed that by adding the image in the middle of the screen. So I vote for the one in the top left corner.

Hmm, I would have to say that the far right one on the top is my favorite. I like the design at the top of the page, and the warm colors just.. fit.

Blue looks deeper, and gives the sense that their's something to find. The red looks more hidden and intense, full of danger. The green looks, in a word, welcoming. I like them all, but I was first drawn more to the blue.

do you realize this statement like coincides with my class exactly o.o like my teacher was telling me that the color blue stimulates knowledge, Red intensity, and green calms the mind ..... that just amazes me fore some reason and thought i should share it with you.

I couldn't put the words down, but I got the feelings describe above, so I would go with the top left, because it lures me to find what the site might hide comic wise.

Top left. The green and browns are too drastic of a color change, and it just makes the whole image look awkward. The blue gives off this misty, eerie look, that you can only accomplish in the darkness of night ((going along with the name, and the background.))
So definitely top left.

I would have to say the blue on the top left with the wolves.
The blue goes the best with the nighttime atmosphere of the picture in my opinion.

I think the blue screen without the wolfy cloud things on the top is the most epic. I think I like this one the most because t goes well with the whole night background really well

I would say the one smack dab in the middle. I think the green background really makes the brown trees pop out, since they're near opposite colors. Plus it gives a more natural and smooth feeling. And I think the banner on the top three designs might be a bit too much, but that's just me~

I think that blue one on the bottom left is the best. It kinda gives a 'dawn' type feel to it, like the sun is almost here, but not yet. It also looks foggy, which is always cool, so. Ha.

I'm tied between the middle green one and the middle brownish red one. I like the green one because of the detail on the tree trunks in the background, I also like how it blends in more. I am probably more fond of the brown one though because to me it feels mysterious, you don't quite know what's up ahead.

Why I like ittt...
Well first of all I like the blue because I think that the color combination is really beautiful. And also because it adds a certain sense of mystery and wonder too it, while the others give off a more happy/warm feel.
Secondly, I like the star border because it gives of the refreshing, cool/clear night feel that just seems to fit with the comic, and blue bg for the forest.

The first two in the first row go together the best with the image and color use but the first one is the better of the two in my opnion

The top row seems a bit too busy, with your attention being pulled in three ways: towards the tree, towards the logo, and towards the header design.
The middle row I like the best, the stars are there to keep visual interest, but not enough to compete with the main focus.
The bottom row is too simple, and looks a bit elementary.
On the color side of things, I'd say the brown is absolutely terrible because it's just a massive wall of brown against the dark blue/black and tires out the eyes. I'm torn between green and blue because green is my personal favorite color so I like it on everything, but it really depends on what connotations you're going for. The blue is definitely better linked to coolness and night, whereas the green seems warm, like a muggy afternoon.
But overall the blue would win, since it works better with the dark blue/black header AND ties into the "night" part of the title. So my vote is for the middle blue one, it is neither too busy nor too simple, and the blue color unifies the design.

top right. The ghostly wolves preludes to the mysterious past of the very first character you introduce in the comic, it makes me want to read to find out what they are all about.
I liked the red-brown because it matches the menu bar best. I like websites that follow a neat and thoughtfully organized color scheme, it looks more uniform. Also the red-brown background has the least detail, which will make reading print over it the easiest.

Middle Blue. Upper Blue seems a bit too fancy, bottom blue's outline clashes too much w/ brownish BG.

The very middle. The green does compliment the background, and it shouldn't be too overwhelming of a color match if the comic page doesn't have a lot of green within it. The night sky really popped out to me in this one as well; overall it looks much better and has more balance without the design at the top. I get the feeling of more like 'Winnie the Pooh' at the bottom, kind of a honey bee hive feeling. Good job I hope you get a nice grade on it~

My favorite would be the one on the far left, then the one on top.
My thinking behind it is that I like the blue because it is Legacy of the Night and I like the top one because I like the night sky border and the smoky/cloudy design.

I like the first one best (the second is also nice) The first one has a very foggy, mysterious feel that works well to convey a "forest at night" feel

I would say the first one of the bottom row - so the blue with the brown background. I think the blue is a beautiful and cool color, giving a sense of mystery. I like the brown backdrop because I feel the stars in the margins are too busy and take away from the depth of the pathway.
Actually I think it would be better if you could make the brown backdrop instead an extension of the blue pathway. That way it won't just look pasted in there.
Lastly, I think that header in the top row - the wolves in the sky- would look nice on any of these and I'm not sure you should just restrict it to the starry sky.

I like the top left one the best. I think the blue offsets and compliments the greens and reds nicely and gives the whole picture a nice balance of color and some look of mystery. The stars add a nice touch and without the design at the very top the top looks empty and unbalanced.

I like the second row, the blue one. ^^ I like how the stars look on the above bar, nice and simple, and I like how the blue looks like it's fading away, more than green and brown do. It's a lovely misty effect.

This was kind of a hard choice. I'm a bit torn between the top Blue one and the second Green one. However I think in this case the top Blue will be your best choice. Here's why:
Since the Comic is called Legacy of the Night and involves wolves it combines both of those very nicely by the 'header' and the apparent night time scene. The forest backdrop also compliments the fact that it's wolves or animals that are in the comic and as usual your background is eyecatching. On the whole I think you've done really good with all your mock-ups but that first one is my favorite.

I'm debating between the first and second one's at the top. I'd probably say the very first blue one, simply because I always like the night effect and it has a nice atmosphere to it.

I like the top blue on the left. The design over top of everything looks really nice and considering the comic is called 'Legacy of Night' the website would make sense to have that dark night scene going on.

I'd say that your best bet would be the middle blue one. Its nice, simple, and clean. The green and the orange don't exactly fit with the "night" theme you seem to have going with most of your designs. I think that the brown background doesn't work very well with the bottom blue one, and while I like the wispy wolf design at the top of the first blue one, it seems to clutter up the top banner a little too much when placed so close to the large "Legacy of the Night" logo.

The blue compliments the name. It gives a feeling of eerie nightfall, which sets the mood for your comic.

I like the very first one. It's pretty with the unique BG, night sky, and the little banner at the top is a nice edition

I would go with the blue one with just stars. The trees in the background are under the night sky so it makes sense that the rest of the background would have that same color scheme.
