You use your mouse/mousepad and you click the left button to draw. You can also change the color with the color thing next to the blank page. What program are you using?

This tutorial REALLY helps since I struggle drawing ponies (and I still do since I find that sometimes the head looks weird, legs are not proportionate, or the drawing itself is too vague) but now at least I have a better understanding of how this works.
