Yup, the whole area looks like a bunch of stoned, crazy abstract sculptors were let loose on it with heavy construction equipment.

The choice of b&w combined with the light give the structures and textures of the rock such depth and detail.

Thanks I do think that most photos that depends mainly on the forms and textures is better as B&W. Somewhere I should have color slides from this trip as well, I will post them when I get to scanning...will be interesting to compare.
