Description Heyo, sorry for not uploading a lot. I have been drawing a bit, but it's been mostly concept art that's not 100% post-worthy. However, I may do an art dump of said concept art.
...Well, to be frank, this is also concept art of a character of a story I'm working on called Painting the Tide, but it's nothing special. I only uploaded it because it has a bit more effort put into it than the other bits of character concepts I've been doodling (though I would've liked to elaborate a bit more on the background...alas...). Nevertheless, I do hope you guys like it! ^w^
I feel mostly good about this drawing, but as previously stated, I feel like the background is lacking and the tail is a bit ehhh? Even so, I hope it's adequate.
God bless, and have a nice day!

Fun fact to those who don't know, a merrow, the species of the character as the title implies, is a kind of mermaid, a benevolent species in fact as opposed to the typical siren, even though sirens were originally birds and some confusion was had because of languages

I always admire a lot of detail in art. I don't have the patience for super detailed art so I can't help but always be envious of beautiful details like this~

I'm glad you like it so much!
Patience is something you learn the more you draw. Something that helped me was not focus on how fast I could get it done, but just drawing as I went along and not minding the time. Hope that helps.

I am just an inherently impatient person lol. I've tried. I need to be in the zone in order to get into the right rhythm to do something tedious like THAT MUCH DETAIL. I think I'll stick to my more minimalist styles (while still admiring your abilities.)

Really like the detail put into the scales, as well as the tailfin. It's a pretty nice image, I'd say.
