I really like this design. I notice he looks darker-skinned and more African than most pop-culture portrayals of ancient Egyptians I've seen.

Yea I know what you mean that's why I went with an African male since most original ancient Egyptians probably were a mix of peoples from the African continent as we get closer to rise of monotheism Egypt had been conquered by many peoples from the middle east and Europe. The fact that the last royal linage that ended with Cleopatra were Macedonian is a testament to this. I guess this guy was meant to embody the culture of the ancient Egyptians that (in his time) is rapidly loosing its identity, well that's they story I had in the back of my mind anyway XD

For some reason, I imagined the protagonist in this setting to be an Ishmaelite. Although a Black Egyptian Assassin sounds kind of awesome too.
