I was pretty upset when I learned of his death, and it's taken me a while to get over it, especially since he was such an amazing actor... He will most definitely be missed.
As for your tribute to him, this is just... Absolutely perfect.. It shows the raw emotion, the devastation for Roger Rabbit, and even Jessica as well. Of course, Roger would be the most upset over it, as he isn't just more open with his feelings, but more so after developing a friendship with Eddie after all they've gone through in the movie. This is a most perfect and loving tribute to Bob Hoskins. Beautiful work.

I was so floored to hear this on the news the other day. WFRR was the movie that turned me into an animation fan and got me interested in special effects (not that it's had a huge impact on my life or anything, but I still enjoy seeing how similar movies are made.) This is sad, but well drawn.
