Stitch frowned, "growing old, naga botifa!"
"But then again," Lilo suddenly got a somber look on her face, "I remember once, I told dad that I wanted to live forever, and he said I shouldn't. I asked him why, and he said the only thing worse than dying is living forever, because you'll outlive everyone you know, and then you'll miss them for all eternity."

Well "outlive everyone you know" would only be a problem if you didn't could knew new people. Sure is hard to loose each friend who die, but other friends will came, and if they can't actually replace the lost ones they can always be equally good friends, in different ways.
Live forever would be great, being a immortal surrounded by mortals. You would keep learning new things, and would keep getting better in each art you practices. Think about how better one can draw after five years drawing a bit every day,Β then imagine how well would this same person wouldΒ draw after five thousand years drawing a bit every day. That's only one skill, one would write better, maybe sing, and of course deal whit people better, understand human mind and heart.
Sure, be there for the person you met as a young children when she die at old age would be hard for you. But maybe would be less so if you remember how better would be for your old, cherished, friend to have you there (young and strong as ever) than not have you there. One thing every parent has to teach to their children is some point is that everybody die, and that he (the parent) will probably die before the young, is hard and terrifying for a children think his parents can die any moment, and will die sooner or later. A immortal parent would not have this conversation. A immortal would be there for their mortal friends, and descendants, in their fragile old ages, holding hands, making death a bit less terrible for their beloved ones.Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β
But "The fox and the grapes" logic applies to the subject, I admit. Live forever isn't an option, so maybe is better to have some comfort in the idea that would have sad moments in eternity.
After humanity extinction a immortal human being the last talking thing in his know universe would feel really alone. And go mad. That probably would be sad most of time. Β Β Β

*SIGH* Β N-now...this sends me with deep impact to the heart...it would really make me sad if Lilo were to die one day and Stitch was all alone to outlive everybody he knew...even Lilo.
