Heh, yeah... still, at least I've managed to make good of it over these last few weekends. Progress has been fairly good today. I have four of six coloured gems and I've been trying to clean up missing white gems as I go.

And there's still a few more levels to finish before I reach Cortex, I guess - I only just beat Jaws of Darkness.

I managed to complete it 100%. Didn't get all the relics but those aren't essential in a game that wasn't designed for them ^^. Jaws of Darkness was a pretty tough one to find all those boxes.

Yeah, I easily missed that blue gem side path the first time, and it's hard to resist the impulse to spin the snake, which hits the TNT and blows up the second Cortex token...

And indeed, I don't feel inclined to attempt the time trials. I never liked that sort of challenge.

Crash actually suits my more cautious gaming style by letting me take my time and study the patterns of each obstacle as they come.

Though I was surprised I got through Slippery Climb pretty smoothly... once I could get past those first moving ledges without dying so clumsily.

Heh, yeah... though at least I had a chance to try again yesterday and make some progress. I had rather more success. I also earned the Yellow Gem from the Generator Room too.

And indeed, I had been monitoring Spyro's Reignited Trilogy ever since it was announced... and with no small degree of annoyance at PlayStation and XBox for wangling another "1-year exclusivity" angle...

So yeah, when I saw Steam announcing that they're releasing it soon, I was like, "'Bout time too!"

I just didn't expect to find an objective where I had to not lose any lives. I'd worked jolly hard to track down all the boxes, and this is what I got! Talk about pulling the rug from under a guy...

Guess I'll have to tackle it again, anyway. At least I'll know next time... that the "challenging" objective exists...
