Something I sketched a while ago, exploring the idea of the ambitious wizard-hare Retsubnad Cornelius Leadboot having a "best robe" that he would wear on his coronation of becoming Ruler of the World!Though I went to town quite a bit on his regalia, the pose and composition was very much inspired by that mischievous image of Asriel Dreemurr as he contemplates what to do with his newfound power...
Drawn in pencil.
Traced and coloured in Flash, where I also made the animation.
(I spent a few hours on trying to create a convincing frame-by-frame fireball)

what a kickass looking robe he has here and an awesome animation to boot!.
He looks very proud of his clothes and powers there, what to do, what to do >: ).

Me: Yup, he's certainly proud of his costume and powers...
And thanks again! It took a few hours to actually get the flames looking good, based on a few sprites from my old Prince of Persia spoof. The sleeves, robes and cloak were actually a bit easier to animate, being mostly animation tweening.

I guess it comes with practice, trying to visualise where the flow of movement goes... certainly the fireball animation was the hardest part.

Yup, I certainly worked hard to make this look really grand... the flames (based off the sprites used in Prince of Persia) took a while to replicate in vector form, and even then I had to in-between them to make it smoother.
Hehe, and indeed, Retsubnad and Asriel are certainly capable of some pretty epic villainous smirks...

I certainly worked hard on this - as I say, the fire took a while to do. I took the burning torch sprites used from my Prince of Persia spoof as a reference - but even then I had to in-between the extra frames to make it burn more smoothly.
