Well, Mom and SAM might be nearby...
---
Mark: Oye Max...
Mark: ...
Bill: -pfft! -
---
Well Mark is trying to hold his laugh... I guess they get along from teasing others sometimes too..
Will Mark be able to do what Sam couldn't?...in the Sea?

we must deduce that San ultimately abandoned the idea to learning swim at max ?

I once babysat these two Korean children named Jae-min and Jae-woo. Jae-woo was the youngest (6 years old) and he wasn't a good swimmer, so it made things difficult when we went to the water park. He wanted to go down the waterslide SOOO bad, but was scared of the deeper water at the bottom and he begged if he could go down in my lap. We got in line, but halfway up he slipped on his arm floaties and the slide manager said he couldn't go down in my lap while wearing the floaties. So I told him I'd wait for him at the bottom. When he finally came down, I caught him as he hit the water and he was shivering like a leaf. It was adorable. ^^

With some slight differences in the exact details, I have a near identical story with my kid brother when we went to a water park for his birthday. Wow, that's approaching ten years ago, now that I think about it...

Since I can speak Korean, the two of them stuck to me like glue, so...yeah! XD I loved those two, and reading these "Younger Day's" entries reminds me of them to some degree.

Aw, don't be mean. He's young, he's only.... um.... his age is.... hm... Well, the point is that he hasn't been taught how to swim, so lay off! =7=

Acording to some of the descriptions i've read he's 9, but he looks 5-ish mainly because he is short for his age.

Now, will Max get into trouble in the water and will Bill be the one to notice and go to his rescue?  And will Mark then suggest that they teach Max at least the basics of swimming?

Mark trying to hide his grin is just hilarious!

He's a cutie.
Sam made him improve, he's only using one float this time.

Just wait. Something's gonna happen to the floaty ring, and then Mark and/or Bill will save him.

It shouldn't be surprising that this series centered around prepubescent kids would attract weirdos with ulterior motives for viewing...

refield In reply to UmiEbon [2016-07-30 03:34:10 +0000 UTC]

To be fair, it's not exactly comfortable to swim in the ocean with a cotton tee shirt on.

My point is that my first thought at their suggestions was practicality, yours was to assume the worst.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

UmiEbon In reply to refield [2016-07-30 13:18:49 +0000 UTC]

Not an assumption so much as a deduction born out of 2+ years of observation - commenters using every opportunity (sometimes even making one where there are none) to ask or suggest that the kids be drawn more often in various stages of undress, or, in cases where they're already nude, without whatever it is that's censoring them.

Mayfly-Writer In reply to refield [2016-07-30 06:40:17 +0000 UTC]

I didn't mean to start anything, but thoughts like these are at the back of my mind. I was just getting a similar vibe to when all people were doing was commenting on the kids' underwear or wanting to see them naked more often. Comments like those just addle me, but I apologize to those that didn't meant anything by them.

refield In reply to Mayfly-Writer [2016-07-30 18:30:01 +0000 UTC]

I understand the thought of the worst possibility being ever present, and I think its consideration is often worthwhile. However, I also don't think we need to give that ever present thought precedence. I agree that some of the comments have been a little creepy, but I think most of the people commenting on various states of undress are merely sharing an opinion on what's cute. Some people might be trying to make a joke of it, and fail, but I don't think that they want to see fictional harm done to the fictional characters. Maybe I allow too much grace? I don't really know.

Bingo. I see those all the time on here and just get squicked out, like damn, even if it's just illustrations, there are some folks on here who are waaaaaayyyy too interested in seeing a little kid's nudity.

I agree with you there. The Internet sometimes can attract the worst of people...

on the flipside, I've met a lot of people on the Internet that have cheered me up when I'm down and even roleplayed with me and never had such heinous thoughts.

It's a sad world we live in. I just hope and pray that such sickness will end soon.
