And Max's quiet afternoon was ruined...
I don't know how Max and Mom can look at that face and not just let him do what he wants. (This sentence is awkward but I can't think of a better way to say it).
And it's funny how people can just say you're going somewhere with them and you feel compelled to obey them. Max doesn't "have" to go with her, unless she uses force...
