Max is giving his best to defeat Sam in the game of willpower... but basing his efforts in a book at the library may not be the best way to do so...O3O he thought he would be able to hypnotize Sam after reading the book... ONCE! XP

Lol from what I've heard/read it really only works if you let yourself be hypnotized, if you try and resist it it won't, also it depends on the person, some people apparently can try to resist it yet it still works and some people try and let themselves get hypnotized and it doesn't, just depends, tho obviously the person doing it still matters.
This is my understanding about it, none the less, it's still funny to see it over exaggerated in tv/movies.
