Sorry, I can't resist...

"Omigod, Kari!  What is that?"

Kari turned towards him and asked, "What is what?"

"Your reflection.  In the mirror... I saw..."

"Just what did you think you saw, Peter?"

"You looked like... like a... werewolf or something."

Kari tried to hide her surprise.  No one else had ever seen her that way before.  Only she could  see herself as she occasionally appeared in the mirror. 

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, dammit.  Here, let's go back and I'll show you."

Faced with his resolve, she gave up the innocent act.

"I can't believe that you saw that.  You are the only person to see that.  Other than me, of course.  Or if I'm outside during the full moon."

"So it's for real?  You are a werewolf?"

"I'm not sure that I'm a full on wolf.  Closer to a dog.  And I don't go around killing people and turning them into what I am."

"Wow!  This is so... cool."

Kari couldn't believe her ears, replying, "Cool?  Not if you were in my shoes."

"Sorry.  I just... Can we go back to the mirror?  I'd like to see it again."  When Kari hesitated, Pete pleaded, "Please?"

Not knowing what else to do, Kari relented, and the two of them moved closer to the mirror.  Kari rested her forehead against the glass, and Peter gazed at the reflection in wonder.  Without thinking her reached out and started to stroke Kari's neck.

"Hey, what are you doing?"

"Sorry," Peter answered.  "I just felt the need to feel your fur."

"Kari asked, "You are really getting into this, aren't you?"

Peter blushed as he replied, "Yes.  It is cool.  You're cool."

Now it was Kari's turn to blush.  "You really like this?'

"I think so.  Can I ask a favor?"

"You can ask, but I don't know if I will say yes or not."

Peter summoned up his courage, then asked, "Can I go out with you on the next full moon?"

Kari stopped herself before snapping off a reply, giving herself a moment to think about that idea.  Finally, she said, "So, you want to go out on a date with me?"

This took Peter a little by surprise.  "Uh, yeah.  I'd like to go out on a date with you.  I've been trying to get up the nerve to ask you out for some time now, and I guess in my excitement over this, I forgot to be afraid."

Kari laughed, then apologized. 

"Sorry.  I didn't mean to laugh at you.  It's just that you'd think that someone would be afraid of me after seeing this, instead of being afraid of me until they saw it.  You wanted me to be your girlfriend?" 

"Yes," Peter all but whispered.

"You don't need to be afraid, or shy.  I've always liked you, and I'm glad it was you who discovered my secret."

She went up to him and put her arms around his neck.  "We don't need to wait for the full moon for our first date, do we?"

Peter smiled as he answered, "No.  Would tonight be too soon?"

Kari's eyes sparkled as she said, "Tonight would be just fine.  On, and on the 23rd-"

Peter interrupted, "The 23rd?  What's up with that?"

Kari kissed him, then said, "Why it's the full moon, silly.  And I'll let you feel my fur all you want.  I really like getting my tummy rubbed."

Peter kissed her this time, and absentmindedly wondered if her tongue would change with the full moon...

wow that looks really good, the only thing i dont like is the nose in the reflection. The contrast is really a good idea.

I like these kinds of photomanipulations that offer before-and-after comparisons for those of us unfamiliar with the models' true appearances.

I really like the contrast between the subject and her reflection here. It's a neat idea.

Your edits look good! I particularly like the fang poking out from under her lip...it looks quite natural. The ear loses some definition toward the tip but the shape is very nice. Great work...keep it up
