A term I've heard used in reference to Japan's near abandoned shopping streets, where most shops are perpetually closed, shutters down.If you go straight down this one, you'll end up in Tobita Shinchi

It is kind of eerie, these streets can be very long and branch into other shopping streets, and the amount of shops that are still open is dwindling (of course this depends on where the shopping streets are in town and what kind of shops are in them, but shopping malls and supermarket really hit this manner of shopping pretty hard)
Unfortunately, it isn't an uncommon sight in Japan, and in this part of Osaka (which is really poor) it was hard to miss
This one was shot nearby, a few dozens meters back!
