I keep meaning to do a full-on critique for this, but I haven't had a chance. But I do want to let you know that I think it's pretty great -- Her weariness comes across well, sort of in a resigned, "I am really, really tired of this crap" way. The way you have her holding her beverage and just looking over her shoulder, completely nonplussed and just benignly annoyed with what she's seeing is great composition. One thing I would critique is that the amount of work in the background kind of hinds her hand and mug, but... all of it back there is kind of the whole point of the picture.

Thanks so much! and no, I agree with you, I noticed the hand thing as well when I finished it. it just blends in... I think it had a lot to do with the adjusted contrast as well, and fact that it's right down the bottom of the picture. Maybe if I had her hold it higher or at a different angle it would have worked better.

I agree with you that switching how she's holding the mug might help make it visible, but at the same time, it's sort of at the perfect "not this crap again" position. I'm not sure how many of those there are...

Thanks! I should probably plan before I draw monsters instead of just using them as gap filler though. Not much about this background makes sense.
