Exactly, it's bad enough that the Xehanort Saga was a messy conclusion but since he's gone, why do we need a game involving him?

Yeah, it's a shame developers show a trailer and get us all hyped over the game, before we experience it. And when we actually play it, we're severely let down.

KHIII in a nutshell.
I almost feel bad for the people so hyped for the VII remake. Slap "Kingdom Hearts" or "Final Fantasy VII" on the title, and that's really all it takes for people to instantly like it.

No one knows when either will end though. However, if SE does mess up the VII remake, it may very well be the FINAL Final Fantasy. I swear, they put so much stock into what VII fans want that, at this point, the VII fanbase alone could bankrupt SE with just a thought.
